What is the Starting with Simple Author digital training?

In two asynchronous mini-trainings, you will learn the basics of Simple Author to create a digital learning activity! Each module will be less than 30 minutes.

How do I start the training?

Here are the steps to get into the Starting with Simple Author on-your-own digital lesson. Please use Chrome or Edge as your browser.

  1. [Skip of you have an Infiniscope account!] Join Infiniscope. Before doing any of the modules, you need to sign up to be an Infiniscope member if you’re not one, so you can have access to the tools during the training. Just complete this form. It takes just a minute!

    1. Check your email. This may take a day for the admin to approve your request. (Don’t attempt to log in until you receive confirmation!)

  2. Once confirmed, sign in to Infiniscope.org

  3. Open the Tools menu next to the profile icon.

  4. Select Argos. This will open a new tab. (You can ignore it!)

  1. Open this link https://app.argos.education/sections/join/dosmm

  2. Enroll in the course. (And confirm you are not a robot!)

  3. Select Start Course for the module you want. (You can also go to the Learn section in the upper left and select Part 1 to start.)

  4. Select Begin 1st Attempt and go through Part 1!

  5. You are finished with Part 1 when you reach the big teal checkmark! You can then go to Part 2 or take a break and come back later!

I’ve already started the training, how do I jump back in?

  1. Sign in to Infiniscope.org on a Chrome browser.

  2. Open the Tools menu next to the profile icon.

  3. Select Argos. This will open a new tab.
